School Closing Information |
In the event that it is necessary to close school because of inclement weather or other emergencies, the following radio and television stations will carry the announcements: Television Stations: Syracuse Radio Stations: Syracuse * Cortland * Ithaca * Waterloo Syracuse Television

Parents of elementary children are asked to make sure their child's teacher has instructions as to what the child should do if school is closed early and the parent is not at home. Written instructions should be sent to the teacher as early as possible in the Fall. Please do not wait until the announcement is made that school is dismissed early and then call in. The school phones are extremely busy at these times and it may not be possible for you to get your message through in time. Even if you are normally at home, it is a good idea to make arrangements for an emergency situation when you might be away. During inclement weather, many of you pick up your children at school. The best location to pick up high school students is the parking lot on the north side of the high school building. Those parents who pick up elementary students should do so in the driveway at the north end of the building. These pick up points avoid the long wait for the buses to pull out. Please do not try to enter the school driveway when buses are dropping off or loading students.
