Welcome to the MCS Homework Hotline.

Connections between school and home are crucial to a quality education for our students. This project helps provide a part of that connectivity for families in our school community.

The purpose of this guide is to assist you in using the MCS Homework Hotline. Please read it carefully prior to your first use of the system. Should you have any questions about use of the system, please contact the school at (315) 497-2670 during school hours.

Dial-Up Access

You may access the MCS Homework Hotline from any touch-tone telephone using one of two telephone numbers—(315) 497-9186 or (315) 497-9341. The system is available for dial-up access from 5 pm through 7 am on weekdays and 24 hours a day on weekends and holidays.

When you access the MCS Homework Hotline you will hear a greeting message. At any time during this greeting, you may enter the three digit box number of the information you would like to hear. At this point you should follow the voice prompts to guide you in your choice of options. The voice prompts use the following keys in addition to the number keys on your telephone—star (*) and pound (#).

If you would like to listen to the contents of another information box, press star (*) then the three digit box number for that box. Depending upon your timing of this step, you may need to perform this action a second time. Voice prompts will guide you throughout the system.

Available Information Boxes

All MCS teachers and administrative staff members have been provided with information boxes on this system. If your child's teacher is using their box, they should have sent home information about the use of the system. If you would like to see additional staff members using the MCS Homework Hotline contact that teacher directly with your request or contact that building's principal.

Special Notes

This is not a message system—it is only intended for information delivery.

You must be using a touch tone telephone for access. Some telephones use buttons, but require a type of dialing called "pulse." If you are not sure of the service that you have available, contact your telephone company. They should be able to provide you with this information.
