March 11, 2019 -- Get ready! The talented students at Moravia High School will bring classic ABBA songs to life in the popular musical “Mamma Mia!” on March 22, 23 and 24 in the Moravia High School Auditorium.
Set on a Greek island, the story introduces audiences to Sophie Sheridan (Sydney Smith), a young woman about to marry her fiancé, Sky (John Read), when she discovers her mom’s diary from 20 years before. Single mother Donna (Ally Brown) has diligently worked day and night to keep her Taverna operating. The diary offers clues about her father’s identity – sort of. It reveals three potential candidates: Sam Carmichael (Aaron Ammerman), Bill Austin (Ben Bilinski) and Harry Bright (Jared Russell). Sophie’s journey to discover the identity of her father begins as she invites them all to her wedding. With the help of Donna’s humorous friends Rosie (Grace Wasileski) and Tanya (Sarah Cuddeback), the story takes many twists and turns that drive Sophie into a panic as she tries to decide which man should walk her down the aisle.
Don’t miss out on this outstanding musical that features such beloved songs as “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “SOS” and “The Winner Takes It All.” Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting moraviamusic.weebly.com for $8 or $9 at the door.
