Moravia Central School District is seeking a registered nurse to perform professional nursing services as per Civil Service requirements and qualifications. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: Performs professional nursing services at one or more schools in the maintenance of acceptable health standards, school health records, and the emergency treatment of student and employee health problems; does related work as required. This is a professional nursing position involving responsibility for giving care to students and for performing related nursing services such as pupil health screening and notification of defects and communicable disease control requiring judgment and skills.

There will be an opening in the middle/high school cafeteria for a 3 hour Food Service Helper effective September 1, 2021.  Rate of pay is $12.62/hour.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: Assists in the preparation and service of food and in the cleaning of kitchen equipment; does related work as required. This is routine manual work performed under immediate supervision in connection with the preparation and service of food. On occasion Food Service Helpers may perform cooking duties involving lesser degrees of skill than regularly required of employees in the classification of Cook.

There is a vacancy for a 4 1/2 hour School Lunch Cashier effective September 1. Starting wage is a minimum of $12.62/hr.

The school lunch cashier receives and accounts for money collected for school lunches and does related work as required. This position involves the collection of money for school lunches.  A cashier is responsible for an accounting of monies received and the keeping of related records.  In addition to cashiering duties, the incumbent may be required to act as a food service helper or school monitor.


Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.

The Moravia Central School District is a tight-knit rural community located at the base of Owasco Lake in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region. The District is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated science teacher to work in a collaborative middle school setting.  The applicant must hold an appropriate NYS certification. Earth Science or Living Environment certifications are preferred but not required.  Preference will be given to dually certified candidates.

There is a need for two (2) student aides at the elementary school for September 2021.

This position involves responsibility for assisting physically or mentally disabled students getting on, riding and getting off school buses, moving between classes and during all school activities. The incumbent also assists disabled students with basic personal needs. The work is performed under the general direction of the Building Principal, Registered Professional Nurse (School) or other assigned supervisor. A Student Aide will perform related work as required.

Minimum hiring rate - $12.62 per hour
