The New York State Department of Health has issued new guidance that helps families decide if their student should go to school if they are sick. Please see the guidelines HERE.

Here is a list of local COVID-19 testing sites.

The MSHS has provided more details in regards to the modifications starting on Monday, October 19th. Students in grades 6-12 will also be fully remote on Friday, October 16th. Please click HERE for more information on both.

The Moravia CSD will be making some changes when the second marking period starts on October 19th. Please click HERE for the latest information.

Update - 09/25/2020
All students in the Moravia CSD will soon be eligible for free breakfast and lunch. Starting Monday, September 28th, all in-person (hybrid) students can start grabbing a free lunch and/or breakfast while in school if they choose. Starting Monday, October 19th remote students and in-person (hybrid) students may receive free lunch and breakfast from the school to have at home while remote learning. For students (both hybrid and fully remote) requesting food for home, we ask that you fill out this form ASAP. Starting Monday, October 19th, in-person (hybrid) students can pick up their to-go meals in school at the end of the day. Starting Wednesday, October 21st, remote families can pick up their to-go bags (they will contain 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches) on Wednesdays from 10am to noon at your child’s school. In-person (hybrid) students can pick up their meals before they leave for the day.

If your child is already receiving meals, they will continue to receive them and do not need to request again.

The district also wants to make it clear that this is an extension from the state and is only good through December 31st or until funding runs out, i.e. this is not funded for the whole school year and could be discontinued at any time (per the state).

Update - 08/28/2020

The Moravia Central School District has updated the mask policy for the upcoming year. That can be viewed HERE.

Update - 08/27/2020

The Moravia Central School District has made the decision to push back the first day of school for all UPK -12 students to Monday, September 14th. The reason for the decision was to ensure the additional time needed to properly clean and disinfect all areas of the campus in the midst of the capital project work that is still being completed. Additionally, we are waiting on certain PPE equipment that we ordered for the beginning of the school year to arrive. We made a commitment when this pandemic began that we would not have students return until we can ensure their safety and we remain steadfast to that end.

We greatly appreciate your anticipated understanding as we realize that any change presents new challenges unique to each family situation.
