This past weekend (May 17 th and 18 th ) Moravia’s 5th and 6th Grade Bands had an excellent showing at the Pageant of Bands in Seneca Falls. The annual art shows for Moravia students are as follows. The 6 th -12 th grade show will be held in the Middle School Gym on May 20 th & 21 st . It will be open on Monday, May 20 th during the High School Honors Reception from 6:30pm-9:00pm, and all day on Tuesday May 21 st from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Athletic Booster Club Raffles Boat:
The Moravia Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring a raffle of a 2013 Pontoon Boat. Those not wishing to take the Potoon Boat can opt for a $7000 cash prize instead Tickets are on sale now for $20 each. Family Literacy Night Announced:
In an effort to promote “literacy rich homes,” the Moravia School District Literacy Committee has planned a fun and exciting evening filled with performances, displays and an ice cream social! The event will taake place on Thursday, May 23rd.

Music Boosters Offer June Lottery Tickets:
Each year the Moravia Music Boosters sells “June Lottery” tickets to raise money and awareness for all musical programs in the school district. The tickets are $5.00 a piece with 1000 tickets to sell. Tickets are available from Lesley Horner or any Moravia Music Booster member.

Snow Day Give Back Approved:
At the Board of Education Meeting last evening, the board voted and approved giving back a snow day to be used on Friday, May 24th, 2013. This day school will be closed which will provide a 4 day Memorial Day Weekend. This is something that has been customary for several years.
