About Us
Located in the heart of central New York, the Moravia Central School District is a small, rural public school system serving approximately 900 students from UPK through grade 12.
Our mission is clear: to ensure individuals explore their passions, engage with purpose, and achieve academic excellence.
We believe in creating a truly inclusive, vibrant learning environment where every student is encouraged to pursue their interests, develop meaningful skills, and thrive. Our vision aspires for us to be a “world‑class community school” and a district of choice for all students and staff.
At Moravia, we offer a comprehensive curriculum and rich extracurricular opportunities, including strong theater, music, and art programs; diverse athletic offerings as the home of the Blue Devils; and close ties to our surrounding Finger Lakes region, which features access to higher education institutions, cultural centers, and outdoor recreation.
Our district’s strategic goals include achieving a four-year graduation rate of 95%, a student attendance rate of over 98%, and strong student performance in mathematics and English language arts.
We are proud to serve the communities of Moravia, Locke, Niles, Scott, Sempronius, Skaneateles, Summerhill, and Venice, and to foster partnerships with families, staff, and local organizations that support student growth, well‑being, and long‑term success.
