Moravia Middle School came together on September 11 to honor the memories of those lost on that fateful day in 2001. The school hosted a moving ceremony to pay tribute to the heroes and victims of 9/11.

The event, which was attended by students, staff, community members and local first responders, included several students hanging and raising the American flag on the school's front lawn.

Directly next to the flag, the district's 9/11 memorial plaque is present so generations of future students can continue to learn the importance of unity, resilience and remembrance.
