Moravia Central School District proudly hosted its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony (the MESPYs) celebrating the outstanding achievements of its student-athletes during the 2024-2025 school year.

The ceremony, held in the new high school auditorium, highlighted the accomplishments of individual players, teams and coaches.

In addition to individual team distinctions, the following awards were presented:

Student-Athlete of the Year – Olivia Genson and Joe Baylor

Excellence in Education – Olivia Genson and Nick Plue

Best Individual Performance – Joe Baylor and Caraline Wasileski

Leadership Award – Nola Mulvaney, Kemper Fairweather and Hunter Boynton

Most Improved Athlete of the Year – Jack Lemmon, Rae Starner, Aden Meyers, Lily Brown, Elijah Miller and Saree Weed

Play of the Year – Joe Baylor

Photo of the Year – Lashley Heredia-Castillo

Overcome Adversity Athlete of the Year – Jacob Anderson

Unsung Hero Award – Natalie Torok and Noah Corbett

Record Breaking Performance – Karson Mackey

SAAC Member of the Year – Thomas Palmer

Courage Award – Tristan White

Rookie of the Year – Zach Szachta and Taleigh Sheppard

Best Championship Performance – Riley Jones and Caraline Wasileski

Sportsmanship Award – Thomas Palmer and Natalie Torok

Blue Devil Spirit Award – Kemper Fairweather and Taleigh Sheppard

Coach of the Year – Ken Palmer

Roy Teeter Award – Riley Jones

Booster Club Scholarship – Scott Raymond and Lily Stryker
