Important Update: New Traffic Pattern for Elementary School Pickup & Drop-off Begins Monday, November 3, 2025


Dear Moravia Families and Community Members,

To improve safety and ease traffic congestion, we are implementing a new traffic pattern for student pickup and drop-off at the Elementary School. Traffic backups on Main Street during arrival and dismissal have caused delays and safety concerns. To address this, families will now line up on Park Street Extension and proceed to the Elementary Auditorium for drop
off or pick-up before exiting onto Main Street.

This change begins Monday, November 3, 2025.

Here’s How the New Traffic Pattern Will Work:
  1. Drive east on Church Street toward Park Street.
  2. Turn right onto Park Street.
  3. Follow Park Street and proceed single-file to the Elementary Auditorium.
  4. Pull up to drop off or pick up your student.
  5. Exit onto Main Street (turn left or right as needed).
Jr/Sr High Adjustment:
Jr/Sr High School parents will be expected to pull up to the new sign along the sidewalk in the North Lot before picking up or dropping off students.

These adjustments will:
  • Reduce congestion and backups on Main Street.
  • Create a smoother, safer flow of traffic for students, families, and the community.
  • Allow staff to better supervise and support safe arrival and dismissal.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we implement this change. By working together, we can ensure a safe and efficient process for everyone.
